Halloween

This year was pretty fun. Wes really enjoyed himself, and Miles liked it too. In Miles words " Ti er' eats!" He's a cutie. We started the night off with a little halloween dinner at Colby's. We brought the "mummies, magic dragon puffs, and witch's brooms."

Then we headed out with our two friendly neighborhood spiderman's, (piglet stayed with grandma) and came back with a month's worth of sweet tooth.

can you guess?

Rhode Island

For those of you who didn't know...I grew up in Rhode Island. I never considered it my home and have always called Idaho home. I don't know if it was all the tree's or the culture difference or what, but I have been back to visit a few times and still had no fondness for New England. However, about a year ago I started feeling a desire to visit my...old stomping grounds. A few months ago Brad told me he needed to go to Boston for a business conference and Boston is only about an hour away, so we decided to make a family trip out of it. In a nutshell...the most exhausting thing I have ever done. Totally fun, but having three kids and a weeks worth of luggage physically attached to you at all times....I want to take a nap just thinking about it. Anyways. I have something like 300 pics of the week, and it also makes me want to take a nap just thinking about doing a well thought out post of the event, so here's just a plethora of the weeks events. enjoy.

We got into town on Saturday, and the next day was my niece's 2nd birthday, fortunately that worked out great and had a wonderful evening with my brother and his wife and their little girl.

Miles got a little early birthday present also

My brother caught a frog that had everyone intrigued

We then spent some time up north in New Hampshire so that Brad could get a little taste of what New England looks like in the fall. We went to the top of Cannon Mt. and saw some spactacular greenery like I've never seen anywhere else. There was moss on everything...it look like a fairytale place...I expected to see a fairy or unicorn come around a corner. I told Wes this and he kept looking for a "unihorn" the whole time we were there.

While we were in New Hampshire, we went to a place called "Lost river gorge." thousands or millions of years ago water and ice formed this gorge and left huge boulders in it's wake. Now a river run through it and it's just breathtaking.

Me and Belle coming out of a "cave" (really they're just holes inbetween the boulders)

We stopped in Concord Mass. on the way back down and visited a few historical sites.

North Bridge. Were the revolutionary war started. Courageous patriots stood guard over the stash of ammunitions carefully hidden throughout Concord while British soldiers marched to take control of the "rebellious farmers."

caterpillars. The only thing the boys were interested in.

A colonial house. My brother and Christina and I out front.

The inside of the house.

Miles and Cora were so cute. always checkin eachother out.

We stayed at my home-away-from-home. (essentially were I grew up.) It was a really fun experience to show my family all the things that I experienced growing up around a farm.

We spent the end of the week with my best friend Erin. I have known Erin since 5 grade making her my longest friend. I'm so lucky to call her friend and we're so grateful for her hospitality. Thanks E.
For the end of the week we spent a little bit of time at the beach, even though it was pretty cold.
